I have been a Parent Governor at Histon Early Years Centre since February 2016. I am currently a full-time Mum and have a daughter who has recently attended the Nursery and a daughter who will attend in the future. I have 13 years’ experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist for both Education and the NHS. Much of this work was centred around Early Years. I believe all children should have access to good quality early years experiences and I became a Governor to help support HEYC in providing these. I sit on the Teaching, Learning and Community Provision committee.
Charlotte joined as a Governor in 2017 and is Chair of the Finance committee. She has a daughter at Little Owls and has lived in Histon since 2011. She is has an MSc in Computer Science and has worked as an IT Support Consultant for Bridge Partners since 2005.
I have been a governor on the finance committee since 2017. My background is in operations and business management in the corporate sector. I am currently on a career break to be a full time Mum to my daughter who is attending Nursery at the centre, and prior to this attended Little Owls. I believe early years education is important for all children and am pleased to be able to support HEYC in their provision of this.
